About

My name is Maya Gatenio. I am a costume, stage and set designer, based in Tel Aviv, Israel (willing to travel for the right project).

With a collaborative education of three degrees (B.Ed.Des. in Fashion Design from the NB Haifa School of Design (2017), a B.A in Arts Multidisciplinary Program (2022) and an M.F.A. in Theatre Arts Design (2023) from the Honor Roll Program in Design for Stage, Film and TV, at Tel Aviv University), I have a comprehensive cultural knowledge as a starting point for any project.
I believe solid research is a necessary base for a smart, high quality outcome.

Aesthetically I have a passion for details, creating an emotional and intellectual dialogue with the viewer, which is my goal as a designer – to make the viewer feel and think.

Currently teaching at Tel Aviv University, the Honor Roll Program in Design for Stage, Film and TV.
